However, it should be clarified that Songerein and Somarium are two separate game worlds, no matter how similar they are.Įmpatheias: this is where the "emotion effects" part of dreamotion came from. Even the noctaere were originally from here, and the world map is very similar (main central populace on the inside, giant wasteland on the outside). It's where Song's concepts for dreams, dream energy, and dreamwalking was taken from. Somarium: the game's base, Somarium was also based on the "dream world" concept. Because it incorporates a lot of different mechanics, this section is just explaining where it all came from. We provide a lot of options and try to develop the setting and environment while leaving it open for player contribution. This is why players who are able to do their own thing and do not need a lot of mod produced content to create their own would be suited best for this kind of game. Whatever game "plots" we have are bite-sized to give room for players to focus on their own character arcs. While we do hold a lot of big events and provide monthly content, we are still ultimately a more relaxed game and slant more "slice of life" compared to others. We have steadily maintained as a medium sized public game, and while there is no set end date, we have the option to turn into a sandbox whenever activity begins to wane but interest remains. The time ratio is 1 IC:OOC day with the calendar following ours for sake of ease. Large events occur every even month with a downtime "break" month in-between to allow players and characters to explore and do things on their own. This is not a plot driven game and there is no concrete endgame the game will continue for as long as there is interest. Ultimately the game is a world building game filled with exploration, adventure, slice of life, and character development. ![]() But there are threats from nightmares that they need to be watchful for. They will be able to dreamwalk and travel into dreams and larger dreamscapes as well as gain new abilities through the power of dreamotion energy. From there characters will find themselves in a newly developing world and will play a role in building the world along in finding new discoveries within it. Instead of pulling in the character themselves, a dream self is created that is basically an independent extension of the character. ABOUT THE GAME Songerein is panfandom game that is set in a dream world of the same name with a mix of fantasy and fairy tale themes. ![]()
